Seeking Kaimahi Hauora/Support Workers for our client in Miramar!

Role:
As a Kaimahi Hauora/Support Worker, you'll be providing essential support to our client with complex support needs. Your role involves providing client centred support in their home and within the community.

Shifts are on a casual basis and when needed, and to provide continuity to the team with a possibility of becoming permanent for the right applicant.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to our client enabling them to lead an active and fulfilling life.
  • Assist with daily activities, including personal complex cares, mobility support, home management, and rehabilitation activities.
  • Create a safe and supportive environment to encourage independence and participation in activities that are meaningful to them.

Essential:

  • Entitlement to work in New Zealand
  • Full drivers licence
  • Flexibility in working various shifts including weekends
  • Clear communication and understanding of the English language
  • Enjoys interacting and developing a meaningful relationship with our client
  • Empathetic and Compassionate

Preferred:

  • Health and Wellbeing qualification
  • Experience in Home care support
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understands the unique challenges and needs associated with living with a life impacting injury or disability
