Kaimahi Hauora | Support Workers - Casual & Part-Time Opportunities (Canterbury Region, including Greta Valley)

Drake Medox is a well-established provider of home and community support services, dedicated to empowering people living with complex injuries and disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives.

We're looking for compassionate and experienced Kaimahi Hauora | Support Workers to join our supportive team in the Canterbury Region, including the Greta Valley area.

Te whai wāhitanga | The Opportunity

As a Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in delivering personalised, client-centred care both in the home and out in the community. Guided by our core values, you'll help create a respectful, culturally safe, and empowering environment where each individual can thrive.

We currently have opportunities for:

• Part-time: 2 hours shifts Monday to Sunday, starting at 6 or 7am, and 8 or 9pm.

• Casual: Join our pool of Canterbury-based Support Workers, including as cover for this client.

Mōu | About You

You'll bring empathy, professionalism, and experience to your work, along with a genuine passion for supporting others. Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience supporting people with complex needs

• Strong communication skills in English

• The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

• NZQA Level 2 Health and Wellbeing qualification (or working towards it)

• A respectful, adaptable, proactive, and trustworthy approach

• Understanding of the challenges faced by people living with injury or disability

• A full driver's licence, clear police vetting, and satisfactory references

• The right to work in New Zealand and current Canterbury residency (If you live near the Amberley or Greta Valley in particular, we watnt to hear from you!)
