Summary

Support workers required to assist our clients with spinal cord injury's. Clients require complex care, home-help and community support. Clients are located in Rotorua and Tokoroa.

We are seeking support workers who are available for a range of morning, afternoon and sleepover shifts. There is also the option to pick up extra shifts when available. Support workers who would be available to work on weekends also.

Drake Medox supports individuals with complex injury's to live independently at home with our professional homecare staff.

About the role:

• Personal cares - bowel cares and catheter management
• Complete stretches and transfers using hoists
• Household chores, meal preparation and medication administration
• Assisting the client with accessing community facilities, going shopping, meeting friends and attending medical appointments

Skills and attributes required:

• Support Worker or similar experience is essential due to the complex cares required.
• Live in Rotorua or Tokoroa.
• Available to work evenings and weekends
• Right to work in New Zealand
• Full New Zealand Driver's Licence and your own reliable transport
• Willingness to study towards NZQA Health and Well-being qualifications
• Ability to commit to the position long term
