About the role:

The office assistant undertakes several general office administration and reception duties. They work closely with the Administration, Supervisor teams and Site Management to help maintain a smooth and efficient office. The office assistant is proactive in their work habits and shows high interest and engagement in all tasks delegated to them. They learn quickly and gain valuable industry experience which enables them to develop further within the team.

Responsibilities:

Office Management: Responsible for managing the requirements of the site management and providing support as required. Accountable for overseeing suppliers and contractors who visit the office and be responsible for setting up meetings, and making travel arrangements.

Administration: Required to collate information, create presentations and work on Word and Excel documents. This may also include liaising with clients and staff overseas and organising travel itineraries for site management and employees within the area/function.

Special Projects: This can range from internal projects to market research but the main objective is to support executive business functions by providing solutions and working independently without supervision.

Candidates should possess:

  • Previous experience logistics and purchasing or in a similar role
  • Attitude and adaptability while showing a willingness to be part of the growing team.
  • Knowledge and previous experience of site safety rules and regulations in a warehousing environment
  • Reliable transport and clean full driver's license.
  • Two professional work references.
  • Willingness to learn and being able to use initiative.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug
  • Pass a pre-employment MOJ criminal convictions check.
  • Punctuality, reliability, and a strong work ethic
