Summary

Support workers required to assist our client with a spinal cord injury. Client requires complex care, home-help and community support. Client is located in Rotorua.

We are seeking a support worker who is available for afternoon shifts on Mondays, Wednesday, Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm-9pm. There is also the option to pick up extra shifts when available.

Drake Medox supports individuals with complex injury and to live independently at home with our professional homecare staff.

About the role:

• Personal cares - bowel cares and catheter management
• Complete stretches and transfers using hoists
• Household chores, meal preparation and medication administration
• Assisting the client with accessing community facilities, going shopping, meeting friends and attending medical appointments

Skills and attributes required:

• Support Worker or similar experience is preferred
• Live in Rotorua
• Available to work evenings and weekends
• Right to work in New Zealand
• Full New Zealand Driver's Licence and your own reliable transport
• Willingness to study towards NZQA Health and Well-being qualifications
• Ability to commit to the position long term
