We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and forward-thinking construction company that is expanding its in-house design capabilities. This is a unique opportunity for an Intermediate Architect to join a collaborative team that values innovation, technical excellence, and practical design solutions.

The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to deliver high-quality architectural outcomes across a range of commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments.

🔍 Role Overview

The Intermediate Architect will support the design and delivery of projects from early concept through to construction completion. This includes producing detailed documentation, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and ensuring compliance with New Zealand building codes and regulations.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Develop and document architectural designs across all project phases
• Produce accurate and high-quality drawings, models, and presentations using Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Collaborate with internal construction teams, consultants, and clients to ensure buildability and design integrity
• Conduct site visits, field measurements, and construction observation
• Prepare and submit building and resource consent documentation
• Ensure compliance with NZBC and other relevant legislation
• Contribute to project planning, timelines, and budgets
• Support junior staff and contribute to a positive team culture

✅ Candidate Profile

• 4-8 years of architectural experience, ideally with exposure to construction-led environments
• Proficiency in Revit and other industry-standard software
• Strong technical knowledge of NZ building codes and construction methods
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• NZRAB registration (or working towards it) preferred
• Familiarity with sustainable design practices and NZ climate-responsive design is a plus
