We are looking for a qualified Orthoptist to join our specialist eye care team in Auckland. You'll work alongside leading ophthalmologists and deliver high-quality orthoptic services to patients of all ages.

About the Role

  • Provide comprehensive orthoptic assessments, diagnosis, and management for a variety of conditions, including paediatric, ocular motility, and neuro-ophthalmology cases.
  • Independently run orthoptic clinics and prepare detailed patient reports.
  • Support patients with amblyopia therapy, prism therapy, orthoptic exercises, and rehabilitation following neurological conditions such as stroke or multiple sclerosis.
  • Contribute to research activities and collaborate across a multidisciplinary team focused on life-changing eye care.

About You

  • Must have Bachelor of Science in Orthoptics BSc or BMed Sci (Orthoptics) and or Diploma of the British Orthoptic Council.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience.
  • Experienced across all aspects of clinical orthoptics with strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and patient care skills.
  • Flexible, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a busy clinical environment.
