You will play a crucial role in supporting the microbiology team by performing essential laboratory tasks, managing samples, and ensuring the smooth operation of our microbiological processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and sterilise microbiological media, reagents, and solutions.
  • Assist in the setup and execution of microbiological experiments and tests.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
  • Manage and track sample inventories, ensuring proper labelling and storage.
  • Document experimental procedures, results, and observations accurately.
  • Support data analysis and interpret results.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organised laboratory environment.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience in a microbiology laboratory setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with microbiological techniques and laboratory equipment.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in using standard laboratory software and data management tools.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in laboratory work.
