About the Role

As a Support Worker/Kaimahi Hauora, you'll be at the forefront of providing essential support to our client with complex support needs. Your role will involve delivering personalised, Kiritaki (client) centred support in their home and within the community. Guided by our core values, you'll help create a supportive, respectful, and culturally safe environment supporting individuals on their journey.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support to our kiritaki/clients enabling them to lead an active and fulfilling life.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal and complex care, mobility support, home management, and rehabilitation activities.
• Create a safe and supportive environment to encourage independence and participation in activities that are meaningful to them.

Essential:

• Entitlement to work in New Zealand
• Flexibility in working various shifts including weekends, evenings, and overnights
• Full drivers' licence
• Good command of the English language

Preferred:

• Health and Wellbeing qualification
• Experience in the health care sector
• Empathetic and compassionate nature
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of the unique challenges and needs associated with living with a life impacting injury or disability
