Join a highly respected alcohol and other drug (AOD) residential rehabilitation programme in West Auckland. We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team, supporting tangata whai ora on their journey to recovery. About the Role

As a Registered Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in promoting the health and wellbeing of residents throughout their recovery. You'll work autonomously while collaborating closely with a supportive multidisciplinary team to provide safe, high-quality, person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete comprehensive nursing assessments, treatment, and ongoing care in a therapeutic community setting.
  • Support the pre-admission process for tangata whai ora with complex medical histories.
  • Administer prescribed medications and liaise with GPs, psychiatrists, pharmacists, and other specialists.
  • Coordinate medical appointments with external health services including hospitals and dentists.
  • Lead infection control practices in line with current standards.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels of medical supplies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including care plans, progress notes, and referrals.
  • Provide medication administration training and competency support for staff.

About You

We're looking for someone who is passionate about supporting recovery and who thrives working in a multidisciplinary team.

You will bring:

  • Current Annual Practising Certificate as a Registered Nurse (NZNC).
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Full and valid New Zealand Driver Licence.
  • Experience in mental health and/or addictions.
  • You must be eligible to work and live in NZ, with no visa restrictions.
