We are looking for driven sales professional ready to take on a pure new business development role in the fast-paced freight and logistics sector. We're recruiting on behalf of a leading logistics provider seeking a Business Development Manager to join their Wellington team.

About the Role

This is a 100% new business acquisition role. You'll be responsible for identifying and securing new SME and 3PL clients, developing tailored courier solutions, and driving revenue growth across the Wellington region.

You'll work closely with franchise partners and internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery, while representing the brand at industry events and networking opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to acquire new business customers.
  • Achieve weekly sales targets and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects.
  • Create customised courier service solutions for small to medium-sized businesses.
  • Follow up on inbound leads within 24 hours.
  • Collaborate with franchisees and operational teams to ensure service excellence.
  • Provide weekly sales reports and market insights.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in B2B sales or business development, ideally in logistics, courier, or transport.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and confident working independently.
  • CRM proficiency (Salesforce preferred).
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally.
