About the Role:

Are you a Diesel Mechanic looking to take the next step in your career?

We seek an experienced or suitably qualified individual to lead their Parts Department. This role involves overseeing all Inwards/Outwards goods, ensuring timely and accurate stock receipting, and maintaining efficient operations. You will work with a dedicated team responsible for servicing and repairing our internal fleet, as well as assisting all customers. The position is based at our Christchurch depot in Hornby, offering a guaranteed 42.5-hour work week from Monday to Friday.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Qualified Diesel Mechanic
  • Demonstrated management and leadership experience in a similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of Inwards/Outwards/Stock Control systems and processes, including stock receipting and replenishment
  • Familiarity with heavy diesel machinery and related components
  • Proactive approach to plant maintenance and aesthetics
  • Proficiency with IT systems such as Xero and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to uphold high standards with minimal supervision
  • Strong commitment to Health & Safety practices
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management, communication skills, attention to detail, and accuracy
  • A current full, clean driver's license; F, HT, and WTR endorsements are preferred but not essential
  • Positive, team-oriented work ethic
