Possessing over 20yrs of experience in manufacturing and assembling machine-made and hand-made chains for leading retail, wholesale, and manufacturing customers.

About the Role

This is a very unique role that would suit someone who enjoys working in a small team, has an keen ability with numbers and accuracy, and who has excellent time management and big picture skills.

The role functions between 7am and 3:30pm

  • Dispatching client orders of varying alloys and products
  • Coordinating movement of material between departments
  • Lead or participate in Monthly stock takes and investigate variances
  • Preparing alloy recipes and performing QC checks on the melted product using the Opix system
  • Ensuring each interdependent department has the correct products
  • Ensuring all job cards have the appropriate losses
  • Ensuring stock levels do not exceed the budgets
  • Ordering base metal components used in the alloys
  • Ensuring the Fabrication staff has all the information required to complete the job card
  • Communicating with the Office staff (salespeople) regarding sales deliveries and management regarding stock levels
  • Obtain familiarity with sizes of plate and strip orders and being able to estimate the weight of these types of orders

Who you are:

  • Preferably you will have experience in a similar role or an interest in precious metals
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong ability with numbers and accuracy, and processes
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and other inventory management software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
