We are currently recruiting for an exciting permanent opportunity for a large client in the glass industry transport made to order glass nationwide.

Summary:

This is a key role in having made to order glass transported from Cambridge to the Bulls area. An exciting opportunity to join a growing company that is going from strength to strength with large growth planned in the next 12 to 18 months. The client is after someone who's familiar with a range of different class trucks, some line haul experience would be beneficial.

About the role:

The client is searching for a candidate who has a positive attitude and able to handle the responsibilities of ensuring that products are delivered on time to their clients. The role currently is a night shift starting at 1700 with an average shift being 10 hours. A basic mechanical understanding to explain breakdowns and a sound geographic knowledge is required. Each driver will also need to be physically fit to assist with loading the glass into and out of the truck.

Key responsibilities:

• Delivering custom ordered Glass
• Unloading / loading processes in Hamilton and at client drop offs.
• Follow scheduling and loading plans.
• Following safe practices and processes
• High level of customer service

Skills and experience:

• Positive attitude
• Great communication skills
• Class 2 or above licence
• Physically fit to handle lifting while loading/unloading
• Long haul experience (not essential)
• Worked with glass previously (not essential)
