About the Company

Drake Medox supports individuals with complex injuries and disabilities to live independently at home with our professional home care staff.

Summary

Support worker required to assist our client with nerve and spinal cord injury. Client requires complex care, home-help and community support. We require a flexible individual who can work a combination of shifts during weekdays and weekends. You will have a fixed weekly roster.

About the role:

• Personal cares - bowel cares and catheter management
• Complete stretches and transfers using hoists
• Household chores, meal preparation and medication administration
• Assisting the client with accessing community facilities, going shopping, meeting friends and attending medical appointments

Skills and attributes required:

• Right to work in New Zealand
• Lives in Tokoroa or nearby
• Available to work alternating shifts from Monday to Sunday
• Full New Zealand Driver's Licence and your own reliable transport
• Willingness to study towards NZQA Health and Well-being qualifications
• Ability to commit to the position long term
• Experience is preferred but not necessary
