About the role
Use your clinical nursing expertise to support kiritaki | clients ( with complex disability or injury rehabilitation)and their whanau, kaimahi haura | support workers
- Ensure our kaimahi hauora | support workers have the right skills, training and support to provide an exceptional level of support to our kiritaki | clients
- Ensure community-based supports are in place
- Complete client related assessments and support plans
- Initiate referrals and/or liaise with external agencies as required, primarily ACC
- Develop Health and Safety checks in clients' homes
- Delegation and direction of support tasks and medication/interventions to kaimahi hauota | clients
- No shifts - 40 hours a week, Monday - Friday
Skills & experience
- Community nursing with expertise in primary health, complex disability and rehabilitation preferred
- Registered Nurse with current NZNC practicing certificate
- Full drivers licence and a reliable vehicle (if the work vehicle is not available, we reimburse mileage at ACC rates.
- To be able to work independantly and as part of a small team of four
- Experience developing / training a team of support workers is an advantage
