About the company:

A well-established, small New Zealand-owned property management company with over 20 years of experience is seeking a capable and experienced Office Manager to join their team. This opportunity has come about due to the retirement of their long-serving Office Manager after 21 years.

This is a key role within a small, close-knit team of two where your organisational skills, initiative, and professionalism will be highly valued. The successful candidate will be stepping into a role that is central to the smooth running of the business.

Working directly with the Managing Director of the company, the business owns, manages & leases commercial office buildings & retail shops on the North Shore, Auckland and Hamilton.


THE ROLE:

  • You will be responsible for the full day to day accounts activity
  • AP/AR responsibility as well as analysis of creditors accounts
  • Weekly Bank reconciliations
  • EOM Accounts and reporting
  • GST & PAYE
  • Small payroll responsibility
  • Leasing/Renewals of offices or retail shops
  • Property Management, liaising with tenants
  • Organising contractors for maintenance and repair purposes
  • Administration duties, office suppliers ordering
  • Customer Service and relationship management

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • You'll have great attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency
  • You will be confident with accounting and systems as well as spreadsheets
  • A strong communicator and relationship management skills
  • You would have worked in a similar office manager role before with an advantage in the property industry
  • You must be willing to be on call should they be an emergency at a site
  • You will be able to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and juggle competing priorities
  • You will love being the 'go to person' office all-rounder and be comfortable with working closely with the owner
