About the company:

This leading plastic card manufacturer with a high-security manufacturing plant, bureau plant, and NZ head office based in Albany is on the search for their next team member. They specialize in the manufacturing, personalization, and distribution of plastic cards, including credit cards, gift cards, and driver's licenses.

We are seeking an Administrative Control Room Guard to join their small, tight-knit team to join on a 12-month fix term contract.

About the role:

  • Unlock building prior to am shift staff arriving, first point of contact with any visitors
  • Monitor access to site of all staff and visitors
  • Maintain register of all visitors and contractors to site
  • Monitor all security devices including Alarms, CCTV, and card access system
  • Control access for courier/freight truck pickups and deliveries
  • Assist with routine testing of security/surveillance system
  • Answer company main phone line and transfer calls as required
  • Main solid compliance and paperwork
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 6am - 2.30pm, with the occasional overtime on a Saturday
  • ASAP start

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous security/surveillance experience preferred
  • Able to pass a MOJ check.
  • Great communication and written skills - reporting and emailing is required
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Physically fit, ability to stand on fit, lifting, bending and stretching.
  • First Aid Certificate (Beneficial not essential).
  • Ability to work in a small team environment, A proven ability to work sole charge as well as in a team
