Drake NZ CANDIDATE Update

Drake Editorial Team

An update on our business continuity & response to COVID-19

Drake New Zealand are monitoring the global COVID-19 situation and are working through what that means for our business. The health and safety of our employees, as well as our clients and candidates is of the utmost importance to us, so we need to ensure that precautionary measures are taken.

PLEASE NOTE: If you have cold or flu-like symptoms, please DO NOT COME TO WORK. Advise your Drake Consultant and contact Healthline on 0800 611 116. Please also advise your Drake Consultant of the outcome from your call with Healthline.

Important Changes
We are committed to working with the health and safety of our Field Staff Employees, and our permanent staff, front of mind. Based on the information available, we have made the following decisions:

  • Walk-in’s to our Drake offices will not be accepted, interviews or meetings will be by appointment only
  • All Field Staff Employees MUST complete our Travel and Health Questionnaire
    • A link to this questionnaire will be sent shortly. Please contact your Drake Consultant if you haven't received it by Thursday 19th March.
  • Where possible, meetings can be held via phone, video calls or video conferences
  • We strongly recommend that you do not travel outside of New Zealand in the coming weeks

How can you protect yourself?

Good Personal Hygiene

  • Wash hands with soap and water for 20 seconds REGULARLY
  • Use hand sanitizer
  • Cough and sneeze etiquette (cover your face)
  • AVOID TOUCHING YOUR FACE

Maintain Physical Distancing

  • At least 1-2 metre's distance between yourself and anyone sneezing/coughing
  • Avoid crowds
  • NO handshakes, hugs, high fives, hongi

Follow Healthline / Doctor's Orders

  • Keep your Drake Consultant informed if you are unwell and have seen the Doctor or called Healthline

Good Workplace Hygiene

  • Clean your desk and/or work area regularly

Self-isolation

FSE’s who have been or may be requested to self-isolate:

  • Must do so for the required 14-day period
  • Required self-isolation will be paid by accrued sick leave initially
  • If there is not enough sick or annual leave accrued for the FSE to cover self-isolation, then this will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis by Drake Management Team.

Drake Medox Nurses

If you have any questions about your health, please get in touch with your Drake Consultant who can put you in touch with a Drake Medox Nurse to speak with, free of charge.

As always, if you have any questions, please contact your Drake branch, 24/7.

Stay healthy and safe.
