About the company:

A well-established, family-owned distribution business specialising in quality veterinary pharmaceuticals and animal health products, is seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Representative to join their team. With over 40 years of trusted service in the industry, this small, tight-knit business values strong customer relationships and delivering top-quality products to veterinary professionals and animal health clients across the country.

THE ROLE:

• Covers the territory of Waikato / Auckland / Northland
• Every 6 weeks travel to Auckland and Northland with a one week stay is expected
• Undertakes in-person calls to veterinarians and animal health retailers
• Details products and promotion to customers
• Takes sales orders
• Follows up with customer enquiries
• Maintains and grows relationships with customers (Account Management)
• Utilises the customer relationship management (CRM) tool
• Monitors the market, and stays up to date with industry and market trends
• Attend training on products with self-directed learning as needed
• Requires the ability to work autonomously and manage your own schedule
• Attend sales meetings at the head office

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• You'll have experience in the veterinary industry
• You'll experience in a similar account manager role
• You'll understands the rural sector
• Is preferably that you are located in the Waikato area
• Excellent inter-personal skills
• You have the ability to build long-term trusted relationships with clients
• You are self-motivated and able to self-direct and organise your own daily activities
